Questions
PEPPOL Compliance FAQ
What is PEPPOL and why does it matter?
PEPPOL is the Pan-European Public Procurement Online network — a standardized way to exchange electronic invoices. In Belgium, it became mandatory for B2G (business-to-government) invoicing on January 1, 2026. B2B mandates are expected to follow.
Do I need to register for a PEPPOL ID separately?
No. When you create a Dokus account, we handle your PEPPOL registration through our certified access point partner Recommand. You don't need to apply for a separate PEPPOL ID or sign additional contracts.
What if my clients don't use PEPPOL yet?
Dokus generates standard PDF invoices alongside PEPPOL e-invoices. You can send both formats from the same interface. As more businesses join the PEPPOL network, your workflow stays the same.
How much does PEPPOL compliance cost with Dokus?
PEPPOL sending and receiving is included in your Dokus subscription at no extra charge. No per-invoice fees, no gateway surcharges, no hidden costs.
