Dokus Launches Public Beta — Financial Clarity for Belgian Businesses
Today, Dokus opens its public beta. After months of building, testing, and iterating with early users, we are ready to onboard Belgian freelancers and small businesses who want financial clarity without the overhead.
What is Dokus?
Dokus is a financial operating system. Not an accounting tool — your accountant still does the books. Dokus handles everything that happens before and between those handoffs: capturing documents, tracking payments, staying PEPPOL-compliant, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
Think of it as the layer between your business reality and your accountant's inbox.
What is in the beta?
The public beta includes:
- Document capture — Upload invoices, receipts, and bank statements. The relevant fields are read automatically, high-confidence documents confirm themselves, and anything that needs your attention is flagged.
- PEPPOL E-Invoicing — Connected to the Belgian PEPPOL network via Recommand. Send and receive structured invoices without manual XML or separate portals.
- Bank Transaction Matching — Transactions matched automatically against your documents. Strong matches are locked, weak matches surfaced for review.
- Financial Position — Cash position, VAT reserve, and upcoming obligations derived continuously from your confirmed data.
- Ask your finances anything — Plain-language questions, answered from confirmed documents, not guesswork.
What does it cost?
Free to start — no card. Core is €29/month when you need invoices, VAT overview, and exports. No per-user fees, no surprise invoices.
Early subscribers lock €21.75/month through 2031.
Who is it for?
Dokus is built for Belgian freelancers and small businesses — anyone with a VAT number who sends invoices, receives expenses, and needs to stay on top of their financial position without hiring a full-time bookkeeper.
If you work with an accountant (and most Belgian businesses do), Dokus makes that relationship smoother. Your accountant gets cleaner inputs, structured exports, and less back-and-forth about missing documents.
What "beta" means
Beta means the core product works and is used daily by real businesses. It also means:
- Some features are still being refined
- You might encounter rough edges
- We ship improvements weekly
- Your feedback directly shapes the product
What beta does not mean: your data is at risk. Dokus runs on EU-hosted infrastructure with bank-grade encryption. Your financial data is treated with the same seriousness whether we call it beta or not.
