Dokus Launches Invite-Only Beta

Current status, 28 September 2026. This is the launch announcement from 24 August, kept as it was published in substance. Plans and availability have moved since: the live bank feed shipped on Core on 7 September, and Ask is on every plan. The pricing page is where current terms live, not this article. Billing is not open yet, and Dokus Foresight is on a waitlist with no date.

On 24 August 2026 Dokus opened its beta, by invitation. After months of building and testing with a small group of early users, we are onboarding companies gradually: access is not public and not immediate, so every company that joins gets close onboarding and support.

What is Dokus?

Dokus sits before accounting, not inside it. It is not an accounting tool, and your accountant still does the books. Dokus handles what happens before and between those handoffs: capturing documents, keeping track of what is paid, sending and receiving on Peppol, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.

What is in the beta?

• Documents. Upload or forward invoices, receipts and bank statements. The relevant fields are read and checked; a document whose checks pass can confirm itself, and anything that needs you is flagged with the reason.
• Peppol e-invoicing. Connected to the Belgian Peppol network through Recommand. Confirming an invoice sends it, on every plan.
• Payments. Dokus suggests which bank movement pays which invoice and shows why. You confirm the match; nothing is marked paid on its own.
• Your position. Cash, the VAT overview and upcoming obligations, read from the documents and statements you have confirmed.
• Ask. Plain-language questions about your own records, answered with the records they come from.

What does it cost?

You start on Free, with no card. Free covers documents, Peppol sending (five a month) and receiving, exports, the VAT overview and Ask with 15 questions a month. Core is €29/month excl. VAT: the live bank feed, unlimited sending, Ask without a monthly count, and documents forwarded to your accountant as you confirm them. No per-user fees. Billing is not open yet, so nothing is charged today; the pricing page carries the current plans.

Who is it for?

Belgian freelancers and small businesses: anyone with a VAT number who sends invoices, receives expenses and wants to see where the business stands without a full-time bookkeeper.

If you work with an accountant, Dokus is meant to make that relationship easier. Your accountant gets the documents with their sources, structured exports and fewer questions about what is missing.

Why invitations?

We are opening access gradually, on purpose. Each company that joins gets close onboarding, and its feedback goes straight to the people building the product.

Where your data is processed: documents are read and classified on infrastructure we operate in Belgium. The optional assistant is the exception: your question, and the records needed to answer it, go to a named external model provider under a data processing agreement, and are never used for training.
